• information we are required by law to collect, such as records of incidents at venues and facilities where we work, to ensure compliance with legislation and regulations (including health and safety regulations);
• details of our products, services and activities/events that you have enquired about or purchased, and any additional information necessary to respond to those enquiries and/or deliver those products and services (eg. payment method details); or
• any additional information that you provide VenuesLive directly or through our stakeholders or representatives.

Collecting information about you

VenuesLive will collect and use your personal information as required or authorised by law, including the Privacy Act, the Spam Act 2003, and other legislation and regulations applicable to our business. We collect your personal information from various sources, including when you:

• provide VenuesLive your personal information and contact details;
• enquire of VenuesLive as to its products, services and activities/events;
• enter your personal information on the VenuesLive website;
• submit your resume or an application for employment opportunities with VenuesLive;
• enter the venues and facilities where we work, through the use of CCTV and other surveillance devices at those venues and facilities; or
• require assistance whilst at the venues and facilities where we work, including from medical or security staff.

If you do not provide us with your personal information VenuesLive may not be able to

• provide the requested information or products or services to you, either to the same standard or at all; or

• conduct targeted advertising for the purpose of promoting our products, services, and activities/events, and the venues and facilities where we work;

• provide you with news, offers, and other information about our products, services, and activities/events, and the venues and facilities where we work, if you have given your consent (express or implied) or registered to receive these communications from us.

Who we disclose your personal information to and why

VenuesLive may need to share your personal information with organisations to ensure we comply with legislation and regulations applicable to our business. This may include the police, other law enforcement agencies, other government or regulatory authorities, and/or medical and emergency services providers.

We may also share certain personal information with organisations who provide goods and/or services on our behalf, including:

• information technology providers or payment processing organisations, in order to provide you with goods and/or services;

If you are receiving information about VenuesLive, or our products, services and/or activities/event, and you wish to opt-out/unsubscribe from receiving these communications:

• follow the opt-out/unsubscribe instructions in any email or communication we send you; or

You can access the information VenuesLive keeps about you

All requests for personal information must include proof of identity that we reasonably request (eg. passport or driver’s license) the purpose of your request and should include your phone number in case we need to contact you.

The file of your personal information retained by VenuesLive will be provided within 14 days of our confirmation of receipt of your request, unless we are required to refuse a request in accordance with the Australian Privacy Principles.

Changing the information VenuesLive has about you

VenuesLive takes all reasonable steps to ensure the personal information we collect, use or disclose is accurate and complete. If you wish to change your personal information that is inaccurate or out of date, please contact VenuesLive at [email protected] and we will amend your personal information accordingly.

All requests to change personal information must include proof of identity that we reasonably request (eg. passport or driver’s license) and should include your phone number in case we need to contact you. Once proof of identify has been confirmed we will amend your personal information.

Deleting the information VenuesLive has about you

If you wish to have your personal information deleted, please contact VenuesLive at [email protected]. All requests to delete personal information must include proof of identity that we reasonably request (eg. passport or driver’s license) and should include your phone number in case we need to contact you. Once proof of identify has been confirmed we will delete your personal information unless it must be kept for legal reasons.

We will otherwise destroy or de-identify your personal information when it is no longer needed or we are no longer required by law to hold it.

Storage and security of your personal information

VenuesLive will do everything reasonable to keep the personal information we hold about you secure and protected from misuse and loss, and unauthorised access, modification or disclosure.

We continually endeavour to improve security safeguards in line with current industry standards, however many data transmission methods (including wired and wireless transmission, storage devices) are not totally secure. Unfortunately, we therefore cannot guarantee that unauthorised third parties will not access and use the information you provide to VenuesLive, even with the security safeguards we use.

We will notify you, and where applicable any relevant authority (eg. the Australian Information Commissioner), in accordance with applicable privacy laws, in the event of any loss, or unauthorised access to or disclosure of your personal information, that is likely to result in serious harm to you.

VenuesLive provides links to websites outside of VenuesLive’s website. These linked websites are not under VenuesLive’s control and we are not responsible for the conduct of companies linked to our website.
