Junior Matildas to play Curtain-Raiser ahead of Matildas v NZ Ferns International at polytec Stadium, Gosford

Football Australia has confirmed today that the CommBank Junior Matildas will play a curtain-raiser at polytec Stadium ahead of the huge Matildas v New Zealand Ferns international on Friday 28 November

The Junior Matildas will face off against Thailand’s Under-16 Women’s National Team, with kick-off at 4pm.

The Matildas v NZ Ferns international kicks off at 7:30pm. Premium Experience tickets are still available for this massive football event on the Central Coast. You can also lock in premium seats by becoming a polytec Stadium Member. All public tickets have been sold.

This junior fixture follows an earlier clash between the two sides on 25 November at Wanderers Football Park in Sydney, and forms part of a broader initiative to strengthen regional ties and promote youth development in women’s football.

These matches are a key highlight of ASEAN-Australia Women’s Football Week 2025, a landmark celebration supported by the Australian Government, in a partnership with the ASEAN Football Federation.
